Back from Jellystone

We rolled back into the 'couve around midnight last night.  Is there anyone else out there who just hates to come home?  I have never been one of those people who gets homesick.  I love exploring new places, seeing new things, and not having a schedule to follow.  We were gone for 12 days, had so much fun, and I could have stayed 12 more.  Some great friends let us borrow their motorhome and my kids were in heaven.  They thought it was the coolest thing ever!  Can you believe we made a one day, 16 hour trek home and we weren't going crazy by the end?

I've got so much to share from our trip but I will start with these.  Day 1 was spent in Lake Couer D'alene, the half way point for us.  We'd spent a few hours playing in the water, looking for baby fish, and making sand castles.  Terry was back in the motorhome trying to rest and I couldn't let Mr. C in or all silence would have been broken.  Did I mention it was the golden hour for pictures to be taken?  The light was beautiful and I was staring right at this refurbished historical building with blooming flowers lining the walkway.  What else would could Photog Mom do but grab some shots?  I bribed Mr. C with the thought of some cookies from grandma that were waiting back in the motorhome and he was an almost perfect model. Here's my baby.
