Back to Jellystone

Oh my goodness, this place was beautiful!!  I'm a little bummed that this pic in my blog doesn't look anything like the same image I had printed.  The terrain and colors were unlike anything here in the Northwest.  But did you notice the drop off?  And, "Hello people," this aint no Disneyland ride.  No protective rails here.  What would be going through your mind if you had a very active two year old with you?  Yeah...us to:)  We hiked up to the ridge of the canyon in search of Lilly Pad lake and I don't think I have ever seen hubby hold our son's hand so tightly.

This would be the first place I would go back to...without small children.  It seriously was amazing. My soul wanted so badly to sit on the ledge and just let the natural beauty soak in.

Our older kids and their little buddies had so much fun and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them out exploring.  What a wonderful, wonderful world...

And from my little girl, a poem about everything she saw, heard, and felt while in the canyon

Waterfalls, river, rocks, and fish
Green, orange, brown
chipmunks chirp, rushing water
DANGEROUS
