We were so inconspicuous...

We weren't exactly sure what the protocol would be for 6 kids and 2 ladies so we just kept walking. Just keep going until we get stopped...right? I mean I'm sure no one would notice 6 KIDS, 2 ladies and 2 strollers walking into an old car junkyard. A few minutes into our adventure we saw an old truck driving our way down an aisle of rusty classics. The man looked at us a bit oddly and asked if we would sign a waiver at the front desk. The front desk...sure. That was only 200 yards back down the bumpy road that demoralized my $50 stroller, tripped my children, and held ransom a few of my props. But back we went and signed our waiver. I think the junk yard cops thought it a bit amusing we were bringing children into their yard to take pictures. Hope you find the shots amusing as well.

I love your fourth capture...what a precious portrayal of their relationship. Also the 6th is so darn cute of your daughter, what a sweet face, she looks like you. I love how the boys outfits coordinate but also show their unique personalities. Fun shoot!

Your photos look lovely. the colors and everything are fine, except it looks like you could draw out some more blacks. Where do you process your photos? Lightroom? Photoshop?

Sometimes the color profile of your editing program will be different from that of your hosting blog site. You would have to have somebody change that for you... though you can do it yourself.

In answer to your question: I process my photos through Photo shop. I use several masks and layers to draw out color, make subtle lighting adjustments and make certain aspects of a photo pop. This process takes me anywhere between 10-50 minutes a photo.

As I said, your photos are beautiful. You have a natural eye for photography and that's irreplaceable. The rest will come ( :
