The whole family session

Okay, I have seriously been a bad blogger. Yikes!! I think I just experienced my first Christmas rush and it was very rushed. Thank-you to everyone who allowed me to experience your family and capture them for all of your friends and family to see. Stay tuned everyone I'm getting back to regular blogging and I have lots to post and lots to share.

I know these stories are supposed to be about the families but the specialness of this shoot has so much to do with me too.
His pockets were treasure chests filled with sugary sweets. His hugs completely engulfed me. He said I was the apple of his eye and that I had him wrapped around his little finger - and I did. So many of my childhood memories include my grandparents and I was moved to see the emotional connection between R and his granddad too. Grandparents are so special and I wish more family sessions included them. As I walked Grandpa B and his cane down the lane I could have easily been walking with my own grandpa. Their similarities were uncanny - down to the candy mint filled pockets and his eye glasses that darken when the sun comes out.

I love, love, love the personality in these shots. I love spunk in Miss B, the tender hug from Mr. R, the casual nature of the family picture, and of course the laugh of joy from Grandma and Grandpa. Thank-you so much for letting me spend the afternoon with you capturing your family.
