Big Al's + Blazers = Match Made in Heaven

It was the day we had been waiting for ever since the basketball season began. The day my boys had been day dreaming about. The day my daughter had been begging about. The day their bragging rights are born and bred.

Yes, Blazer lovers, Fan Appreciation Night at Big Al's has come and gone and the Wollam family did it right. With all humility, I dare say no one could have done it better. We came, we played, we ate, we saw, we met, we documented, and when the lights went out we finally left.

I can't reveal all of the details because we may have slightly bent a few rules in order to get our full experience, but it was an awesome night, and as a mom it always makes me love certain players even more. This year it was Sergio. He treated every kid in the Pop a Shot line like they were stars. He patted their heads, laughed at their jokes, whooped when they made a shot, and lifted the little ones so they could make a basket too. He was a star.

Then there's Channing with his ear to ear grin. That guy is so genuine and I really hope he sticks around.

The true highlight of the night was probably getting a pic with RUDY. Man, that guy was the rock star. He had a mob following him all night long. I've never seen so many versions of "Rudy" shirts before.

Terry really wanted a pic with this guy - the one who made the Blazers what they are. The wind beneath their wings. Kind of brings a tear to your eye, huh?

I can honestly say, I have never felt or looked so short in a picture.

Thanks Blazers. You really know how to throw a party.
