The Brahmer Clan Part 1

Have you ever read a book and just wanted to jump right into the pages? I felt that same way as I walked into the Brahmer household. Kids running everywhere, a scrumptious buffet spread out on the counter, and love apparent. I felt like jumping right into the Brahmer family. This past week three siblings and their spouses gathered for a bit of a family reunion at their parents beautiful home along the Washougal River. Their clan included 6 kids under the age of 3, lots of laughter, and spontaneous renditions of favorite children's songs. Can we build it? YES we can!!

I'll be blogging more on this wonderful family, but today is Everley's day. This girl knows how to rock life to the fullest. Whether it's water, rocks, climbing through playhouse windows, or making silly faces. Life does not pass her by. Mom and Dad were simply amazing and kept our session fun and filled with smiles. They'll be welcoming baby number two to their family in a few months.

Anticipation of a Prince

After four kids I sometimes forget about all the excitement and anticipation that comes with your first pregnancy. Every little kick and movement is met with such glee. Every detail of the baby's room, wardrobe, and anticipated schedule is thought out. And each day brings you closer to holding your firstborn babe in your very own arms. Priscilla came up from Arizona and spent the weekend getting pampered and doted on by her friends and family. In just a couple of months she'll have her little prince to pamper too. I had the privilege of shooting her baby shower on Saturday and then her belly session on Sunday.


Baby Wyatt is already being called a little Prince, so I brought a crown to make it official.

Bella Bebe

You'd never guess they were first time parents.  Calm, totally at ease, and  he even took it in stride when little miss bella bebe mistook his arm for a diaper.  And she was such a doll too.  She slept and let me move her all around. Thanks guys for letting me come over. 

  

Wrapped around your finger

I  have been wanting to get my photog hands on a wee wee one for quite some time. With her dark brown eyes, head of black hair, and calm demeanor I can already tell what's in store for her pappa.  With two crazy boys already in the house this little girl is gonna have her daddy wrapped around her finger.    

You're gonna miss this

     It seems like just yesterday I shot her "almost" newborn pic and now she's three months old.  I was talking to my neighbor about this exact subject tonight.  Her son is going to be a senior next year.  One more year and then he's gone.  As I watch my little ones rolling around in the yard it's so hard to imagine that someday my nights won't be filled with impromptu wrestling matches and begging for more popsicles.  Today was one of those days where the car ride across town to soccer practice was torcher.  The two year old has invented a new scream he only brings out for taxi mom, the princess was driving her brothers crazy, and my oldest was yelling for everyone to be quiet.  Calgon take ME away!  And then I'm reminded that too soon my car will be silent.  Cherish these precious moments.  I'm gonna miss this.   

Just in time for Daddy's Day!

We grabbed these shots tonight - just in time for Father's Day.  What better gift than pictures of his smiling children (never mind the sweat it took for the photog to coax out that smile!)?  Some of you might recognize the little girl.  Yep, it's cute Miss H. and she's almost 1!  I can't wait to do another session with her at a fun location.
